How To Make

Sourdough Naan Bread

Sourdough naan is one of the easiest breads to make at home, and making it doesn't require a Dutch oven, banneton, or  even an oven!  All you need is a  mixing bowl and a  frying pan.

1. Whisk water, sourdough starter, and oil or ghee in a mixing bowl.

2. Add the dry ingredients and  stir to form a shaggy dough.

3. Do three rounds of stretch-and-folds over the next hour.

4. Cover the bowl and let it rise for 4 hours and up to overnight.

5. Once the dough has doubled, it's ready to be shaped and cooked.

6. Divide into 8, roll each with a pin, then roll into logs.

7. Use your hands to shape the logs into small swirled balls.

8. Roll each swirled ball  as thin as you can.

9. Cook each flatbread in hot oil until bubbly and golden.
